Takshashila Institution was created to “build the intellectual foundations of an India with global
interests.” An independent centre for research and education in public policy, it advocates the
values of freedom, openness, tolerance, pluralism and responsible citizenship. Takshashila
creates change by connecting people to ideas and networks, and producing independent policy
research in areas of governance.

What excites us about their work:

• Works on building knowledge and skill structures for new emerging areas of concern for 21st century India and offers educational courses and certificates to enable young people to work in these areas.
• Creates and provides curated recommendations, and open toolkits on how to engage with the public on key ideas of relevance.
• Creates a stage and network for engaging with global actors on key aspects of policy and economy via discourse and ideas.
