Research plays an important role in advancing evidence-based policy. Work in this area supports organisations involved in public policy, academic research, and organisations that build bridges between policymakers and the public. We also support organisations that engender deeper collaboration of the state and the academic and citizen machinery, furthering the dream of an inclusive Samaaj.
OPPORTUNITIES
Research has a crucial role to play given the complex challenges facing our country. Military conflict, economic development, legislative lacunae and political instability pose major existential risks to the functioning of our Republic. By providing research and analysis on these issues, civil society organisations can help inform policy decisions that have a real impact on the lives of people.
Additionally, academic institutions can help to promote transparency and accountability by providing a space for open and honest dialogue and debate. Fostering a culture of critical thinking and encouraging the free exchange of ideas can help to create a more informed and engaged citizenry.
We have supported pioneering work by organisations that harness the power of open-source technology to increase access to learning opportunities for all. We also invest in amplifying the impact of the educational ecosystem through collaborations and national-scale programs.
