Haqdarshak builds systems to support welfare delivery service to the last mile. The Indian government spends over 7% of its GDP on welfare services but there is a gap in demand and supply and enormous unspent funds due to information asymmetry, accessibility and mobility issues, and low levels of literacy. Haqdarshak creates technology that digitises and codifies welfare scheme data on a platform and build a repository of government services in local Indian languages. They train select field agents to be able to bring the information to the last mile, and provide support for citizens to apply for welfare programmes. They wish to ensure that every citizen and MSME can access government welfare and financial services, and improve socioeconomic conditions and standard of living of communities by making sure there is last mile service delivery of government welfare services.
Why they are the right choice for others:
- Offering a layer of assistance and impact for citizens to access welfare entitlements by training individuals at scale and reaching the last mile
- Deploying technology to ensure the maximum impact of government schemes
- Assisting MSME ecosystem and entrepreneurs to help them contribute to economic growth
