A free mental helpline, Let’s Talk is a volunteer driven mental health support helpline set up during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was set up by Manah Wellness at, a mental health platform set up to focus on employee wellbeing and responding to the crisis of the pandemic. With over 200 volunteers of highly qualified psychologists, psychotherapists and trained volunteers, they partnered with major organisations and helplines in India to create awareness and support for mental health. The initiative was set up in recognition of the increased mental distress of the lockdown period, and concentrated on building a community of volunteers with mentoring, training and personal development in mental health, and supporting crisis relief work.
Why are they the right choice for others:
- Working with civil society and state governments with an aim to impact the health sector to provide support to distressed people needing support during and after the pandemic
- A collective initiative that created a model of care and crisis in collaboration across the state, civil society and financial sectors
