Access to Justice
Everyday laws
Nyaaya is an open access, digital resource that provides simple, actionable, recallable
and authoritative legal information to young Indians, helping them solve day-to-day legal
problems so that they are aware of their rights and feel empowered to seek justice. An initiative
of Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, Nyaaya provides comprehensive information on various legal
topics, helping everyone understand and deal with the law in their daily lives.
What excites us about their work:
- Contribute towards ecosystem level learning on legal issues by democratizing access to legal information and data for everyone
- Simplifies an area of services and justice that is typically reserved for specialists and hence involves high costs of access and entry for ordinary people
- Utilises various digital technologies to disseminate awareness across languages, and translates expertise into easily shared, widely accessible formats.
